Feb 27-March 1 2020 Join us for our second annual weekend of skiing, snow shoeing and adventure in the French Alps on the shores of beautiful Lake Annecy. If you are not a skier but still want to go, there is a lot to do in this super beautiful area of France where you can enjoy the scenery, discover the medieval city of Annecy and partake in the delicious local wine and food of the Haute-Savoie Region. Bring your husband or a friend and explore with us. We are staying in a super spacious bed and breakfast style Mountain Villa in Menthon-Saint-Bernard walking distance to Lake Annecy.

LASR from Menthon Stain Bernard and Annecy
Menthon-Saint-Bernard is located in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France; 4 hours by TGV from Paris. This is a very beautiful area of France with great food and wine. The Lake Annecy Ski Resorts (LASR) are located 30 minutes away from our accommodation, alternatively there are higher ski stations at Chamonix Mont Blanc, which are a 90 minute away. If you are not a skier you can take the local bus into Annecy where you can explore this gorgeous medieval city. If the weather is nice, day hikes or paragliding are also an option. Come for a weekend of food, fun and adventure.

What’s not included:
Transportation Paris - Annecy. You will need to purchase your own return train ticket. The cost will vary depending on the type of ticket you get. The sooner you purchase your ticket the better. See booking information below.
Lunch and Dinner. To get the full local experience, we will be visiting some fabulous local restaurants for dinner. Lunch will be on the mountain or in town.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES and costs
Daily Ski Pass: Approximately 40 euros per person per day.
Snowshoeing with a guide 25 euros per person.
Wine tasting with food at the Villa 70 euros per person

Check the terms and conditions for your ticket before purchasing. Most tickets allow for cancelation within 30 days of travel for a small fee, but not all, so look before you leap.

The tickets will range from 98€ to 300€ (or more) round trip, depending on when you book and the type of ticket you purchase. The longer you wait the more expensive it may become. If you book a different train you will need to get a taxi at the station, this costs approximate 25 euros to Menthon Saint Bernard.
SCHEDULE:
NOTE: The plan is to spend Breakfast and dinner together and the rest of the time you can spend as you please. We will organize trips together as it makes sense once we arrive. This is not a guided tour and we do not we have a strict schedule. So you can ski, or relax as you please.

Thursday, pick up 2 cars and proceed to Menthon Saint Bernard and have lunch at the house. Evening: Testez votre nez! Play the ‘Sommelier Game’ with an assortment of wine aromas. Late dinner prepared by ‘Chef Benoit’.
Friday - Morning Ski at La Croix Fry Manigod, if you don’t want to ski you can explore the area of Menthon Saint Bernard or go into the city of Annecy, walk around the lake, go paragliding 😳visit a local glass blower. Evening: Private Wine Tasting at the house with an assortment of food parings. 70 euros.
Saturday Snow Shoeing in the am ski in the afternoon (optional). Evening Diner at La ferme de la Charbonnière - A working dairy farm that offers a restaurant of locally produced goods. We dine next to the beautiful bovine, the providers of these delicacies; Savoyard fondue, tartiflette, Raclette Maison, and more. You can not get more local than this. 23 euros for the menu.

** We will be renting cars and ideally a few people in our group should be willing to drive. There is also bus transportation into Annecy approximately every hour, the complete timetable will be available at the house.
