Gola (Oileán Ghabhla) is a remote island off the Gweedore Coast. So isolated it often does not even appear in travel books. Ferry service is limited to only certain times of the year, therefore the best way to access this wee isle is by sea kayak or hired boat. This island was abandoned in the 1960’s, however in the 90’s a few hearty souls retuned to take up residence.

This tour takes you by sea kayak or hired boat to this special place where you can admire the many beaches, secluded bays and sea cliffs. You also have the unique opportunity of experiencing lunch at the local “restaurant” open only upon request.
