At the heart of Portsalon is the famous Pier. Jumping from this concrete structure into the cool waters of the North Atlantic is a rite of passage for many kids (and adults too) declaring the start of their summer holidays! There are many other beautiful places to visit within walking distance of Portsalon. Travel by car for 30 minutes and you can discover a medieval structure, ancient hill-forts, sea aches, a lighthouse or a 19th century castle with exquisite gardens.
